Two of the most invaluable things in my life are my white board and a set of page markers.
As your life becomes more and more hectic and your social life starts to grow, various things start to fall to the way side. You start to forget smaller things in your life and they are usually replaced with things that are more important.
I started to realize a few months ago that I started to forget both the larger and smaller things in my life as it became this whirlwind of various projects I had to start. People I had to meet with. Clients I had to service and personal goals that I had to complete.
To keep track of everything that was going on in my life, I started to write everything down on my white board.
As I stated before, I’ve had my whiteboard for a couple of months, but I didn’t know how to use it effectively. I would write random notes, motivational quotes and important numbers; things in the end that would not help me grow and progress.
About a week ago I came up with a way to effectively order the goals that I need to accomplish daily from most important to least important.
On the right side of the board is where I would place my notes of personal task that I need to complete in the near future.
Some I have to do every week, others I can do when I have time to do it.
(Such as every morning, once a week, I have to exfoliate my face. When it comes to tailoring my suits, I can do that at anytime I have available time to do so. I wrote it down so that I do not forget to do it in the near future).
Lastly, page markers. Page markers have become an invaluable tool for me because it allows me to mark my favorite pages in any book that I have in my collection for future reference. Maybe there was a quote that resonates with my new path in life that I want to refer back too. Maybe there is a photo that I like that serves as an inspiration to my new goals in the arena of personal style.
Regardless of what it is, page markers allow me to go back and revisit the things that can help me remember where am going on my journey towards personal change.
