Okay, so surely you’ve seen the old iceberg model of the mind.
You’ve got the conscious mind, which is the part of the iceberg that peeks out of the top of the water… thats the part of the mind that most people are aware of.
It’s the ‘mind’ or the ‘ego’ its the part of your brain that creates separation between humans, and is designed primarily for our survival… not to make us happy. It represents about 1-5% of our success or failure in life.
The subconscious mind is the part of the mind which represents about 95% of what drives us to do what we do on a minute by minute basis.
It is the part of the mind that causes our body to function, our heart to beat 100,000 times a day without us having to think about it.
It is far, far more powerful than our ego mind or our conscious mind.
Think of the subconscious mind as fertile soil… whatever is in our environment influences the thoughts and questions we hold in our subconscious on a regular basis. Whatever questions or visuals or language you hold in your subconscious mind on a regular basis is what you end up with in life.
In other words… if we don’t take control of our subconscious mind and control the information that goes in… weeds grow automatically.
Here’s the analogy to consider when programming the subconscious…
Remember that ride… “its a small world after all” at disney land?
What happened after you rode that ride?
You had that stupid song stuck in your head all day for days after right?
The truth is, is that our environments are constantly priming us and inserting thoughts and questions into our subconscious mind constantly.
If you let social media, radio, tv, your friends, your family influence your subconscious mind… you’re going to end up with what the majority of people end up with.
An average life.
Here’s what I recommend to you.
Read. Write. Listen to audio books.
If you want to prime yourself for love, courage, happiness, excitement, drive, hunger, passion etc instead of fear, anxiety, depression, worry… I would highly suggest that you listen to the best in the world at programming dat subconscious… Tony Robbins.
He’s got a great program called get the edge… where he is focusing on priming your emotions and physiology for good positive feelings that allow you to take actions towards your goals.
I recommend listening to the hour of power and doing the exercises in the morning to get grateful, happy, loved and letting your subconscious be primed by him so for the rest of the day you can enjoy your good feelings.
I also recommend listening as much as you can but especially morning and night.
Why morning and night?
Because while you sleep and during your day your subconscious will have all the good information from tony robbins or whoever you are listening working on conditioning your mind to be happy, excited, grateful etc.
It’s the same with your goals.
If you set your goals in the morning and night (remember to set your goals as present, personal and positive.., example: I make 1 million dollars per month by selling digital products.) your subconsicous mind is going to begin focusing on ways to take you towards your goals.
