It was your typical hot, and humid Manhattan Summer Weather. The air smelled like warm dirt from the planting outside the St. Nicholas Projects, you also had the smells of stale urine, unwashed bodies of homeless people, and marijuana.
Male Birds sang their flute-like chorales to attract a suitable female counterpart in the Heavy Harlem afternoon… The local mating dance happened on the street during the day and the clubs in midtown at night.
“Ay Yo MA! Where you goin’ witcho’ fiiiiiiinnnnnneeeee asssssss?”
“Nigga Please, get a job and get out of my face!” One girl says with rock solid confidence.
I always shot my youtube videos at my teensy teensy girly light red/pink table which faced the window. I was in the middle of a cycle utilizing trenbolone acetate, dianabol, testosterone (sustanon 250), Ostarine, Cardarine, and MK-677.
I was constantly painted in a steamy sweaty layer of dew on my skin. Pimples were big, red, and angry…. Shit… I must have looked like a pimple myself!
I was 210 lbs with about 16% body fat….. Not a Mr. O contender, but definitely a lot bigger than any other ‘natty’ 5’8 jewish guy in the city… that I was certain of!
My medial delts furiously punched their way through the sides of my shirts, my chest jumped like a pair of solid meaty tits that were compressed tightly down with a sports bra.
My face was flushed red, and the androgens made me look like I was 40 years old… despite being 27.
The steroids made me constantly worry about minutia… imagined nonexistent problems that haven’t happened yet, or won’t happen, and not take action on them. To me that is hell, worrying about problems constantly and not solving them.
Couple that with the insomnia, the pain from the acetate ester being injected every day, the stomach problems from eating so much, and taking oral steroids… I was not a happy camper.
But, I was a gym rat.
This is what we do.
We Eat, We Sleep, We Fuck, We Inject, We Take PEDs, We Train… Hard. All of it Hard and Intense.
I thought I was doing all the right things… I thought that all of the tiredness, anxiety, pain, injuries, being BIG was what it was all about.
If only I knew what I know now.
I opened up my computer. I fired up youtube. I saw a new trending video by Boston Loyd… It was called “Raw Footage.”
It was all about his daily discipline as a bodybuilder… and sure enough… it was similar to mine. Just more structured, more drugs, more food, more training. Bostin took an insane amount of steroids in that video.
Which is one of the contributing factors that lead to me continuing to up the dose of steroids, and try new things in order to produce my loosely defined “dream physique.”
All that the lead to was MORE OF THE FUCKING SAME.
MORE ANXIETY, MORE LETHARGY, EVEN MORE NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS. Great.
If I could have just had 5 minutes with the Brad Holiday from 2015 I would have told him the following.
“Brad, It’s me from the future. First of all, I love you. Secondly listen up to these following points.
- You have to completely restructure your life, you are totally out of balance, unhealthy, unproductive, and are effectively a total loser. If you are going to continue down this road with the way you are doing things, you are going to crash and burn.
- Right now, clean and organize your apartment. Start with one part, and organize it over the course of the week. Make it perfect and well organized the way that you want to organize it. Make your space your space.
- Set a sleep schedule. Sleep by 9:30, Awaken by 4:30 for a total of 7 hours of sleep.
- Wear breathe right strips.
- Cut out all fried foods, lower grains, lower sweets. Add green juices, kombucha, salads, grass fed beef and take a health oriented approach to your diet.
- Add cardio… every day.
- Focus on giving and helping, stop thinking about money.
- In terms of bodybuilding… Only Use Primobolan, MENT, HGH, Dianabol, PEG MGF, BPC 157, IGF DES/LR3, TB 500, Ostarine, Ligandrol, Proviron, Injectable Methyl B12, Drink Lots Of Water.
- Stop trying to be huge, be 190lbs with 10% body fat and be healthy.”
I wish I had that talk with myself. Because it took me a trail of tears that lead me to quitting the steroids. I didn’t drop them easily. Wanted to be known as ‘big.’ Really, I was just in my pathetic comfort zone.
Once I switched over to Brad’s Ostarine, and Ligandrol… with metformin, igf, hgh, and peg mgf… I realized how much better life is off of steroids.
I became calm, assertive, focused, and healthier.
Had I stayed on steroids, I would have died early.
I would have been one of those guys staining their insides neon yellow with DNP. I would have had a heart attack from the inverted cholesterol levels caused by steroids.
I would have failed my family, my girlfriend, and most importantly myself.
Success, is about being level headed, sane, logical, empathetic.
You have to be a good role model, and inspire your employees.
You have to be a leader.
Can you be a great leader and on steroids?
That depends on some things.
Do steroids make you significantly more reactionary and emotional?
Do steroids give you insomnia so that you have to take other sleep medicine to get to sleep… even further impacting your health?
Let me ask another question…
