I wrote this a couple of years back…
Hey guys, I want give you a little bit of a back story… I used to be addicted to heroin and pain pills. I went through the withdrawal period “cold-turkey.” It was hell on earth… physical pain and sickness. Accompanied by mental discomfort and weirdness. I felt that I was not mentally right without the opiates… It took me about 1 month to adjust to life without them.
I Felt Like I Would Never Feel Normal Again…
Many opiate addicts fear the withdrawal and let that be the reason for staying on harder opiates like prescription pills or heroin.
In reality… you can easily bypass most of the uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms with a simple process that I will explain to you now.
When it comes to withdrawal remedies, Kratom is one of the best kept secrets there is. I’ve recommended this to my friends who have gone through opiate withdrawal many times over the span of a few years, and used my method to avoid their withdrawal.
Kratom has mu-opioid agonist qualities (like morphine), that could help anyone ease their sickness from opiates easily using the naturally occuring alkaloids in Kratom.
When using it concert with Akuamma (another mu agonist) and Agmatine (a unique tolerance reducing amino acid) you have a potent and unique attack against reducing the pain from the withdrawals…
How Kratom Works for Opiate Withdrawal
Kratom is not an opiate.
It’s an opioid agonist… it is similar to the effects of synthetic morphine like heroin oxycontin etc… however it is far… far more mild and natural.
You can have a withdrawal from Kratom abuse… but just that… abuse.
Kratom is a far healthier alternative to Suboxone. People get stuck on Subs long term and they wind up getting sick and having deliterious effects from using it long term.
Mitragynine, the major alkaloid in kratom, is a partial opioid agonist producing similar effects to morphine.
Akuammimne, is the most abundant alkaloid found in the seeds of akuamma… comprising .56% of the dried powder. It is structurally very similar to mitragynine… however has been known to have more powerful ‘pain relieving’ properties… and when used with Kratom has a very powerful synergy for knocking out withdrawals.
A friend of mine said that his withdrawals were easily 90% easier with Kratom alone! He didn’t even use the akuamma!
This piqued my interest to say the least. After studying the plant on my own, I felt comfortable recommending it to my clients for coming off opiates and opiate replacement medications such as methadone and Suboxone.
My Experience with Kratom
I personally wish that I could have personally tested Kratom for my own withdrawal… However, I foolishly did the withdrawals cold turkey. If I had used Kratom or even tapered my doses of opiates.. I wouldn’t have had such a bad time.
When I did use it, It was by recommendation from a friend who told me that it would allow me to be more productive and also have less social anxiety…
I had been nervous about trying it for some time however, I wound up being a long time user of kratom.
I tried many strains, rotated through different ones… Stopping several times without tapering down or anything…
Needless to say… I didn’t experience withdrawals of any sort while stopping the Kratom.
I tried them all, Maeng Da, Green Borneo, Green Malay, Red Borneo, Betuangie, White strains etc…
My personal favorites, were the Green Borneo, and the White Borneo… The speedier strains.
I took several doses throughout my days… post workout to ease the pain I felt from the workout.
It made me more social and felt good.
That was more than 2 years ago… I no longer use Kratom and experienced no withdrawal or addiction symptoms for it.
I’ve experimented with different stains and dosages, and even different potentiators (something that increases the effects), in hopes of finding the perfect protocol for coming off opiates.
What I’ve come up with for you is an easy, Step-By-Step program on how to use Kratom for opiate withdrawal.
By following the plan I’ve created, you’ll be using a powerful, natural plant that binds to the same receptor sites in your brain that drugs like morphine and heroin bind to.
Kratom is a natural alternative that binds to the same mu-opioid receptors that Traditional Synthetic Opiates do.
By using it… you can easily get off the drugs…
DON’T BE AFRAID!
The Ultimate Guide To Surviving Opiate Withdrawal w/ Kratom
Step 1: Taper.
For this you will need the following.
1-2 oz Akuamma
1-2 oz Agmatine
This obviously depends on your current dosages and how long you’ve been on.
If you’d like to get off and get off quickly what I’d do is this.
Take your current dosage of opiates and cut in 1/2.
Begin working in Kratom, Akuamma, and Agmatine in in small doses.
So say, for instance you were like me… Doing 10-20 bags of heroin per day sniffing it. Instead of doing a full 20 bags… I would do 10 on day one… and I would take 2 Grams Kratom, 1 Gram Akuamma, and 1 Gram Agmatine.
I would do this for one week.
Then the next week I would do 5 bags of heroin… and take two doses of the above combinations during the day.
Following Week I would try to get down to 1 bag of heroin per day… and increase the dose of Kratom, Akuamma, and Agmatine…
The Following Week I would Completely Come Off the Synthetic Opiates….
This is where Step 2 Begins…
Step 2: Manage The Withdrawal
For this you will need to prepare more…
You will need the following…
-Clean Food: Salads, green juices… Grass Fed Beef. Bone Broth. Bulletproof supplements. Bragg’s Apple cider vinegar. Raw honey.
-Lots of water with an organic lemon squeezed in it.
-Potassium and Magnesium
-Lots of Water
-Dayquil and Nightquil
-Lopermide (For Digestive Issues)
-Kanna or 5HTP
-Kratom Extract + Capsules of Regular
-Akumma Encapsulated (Akuamma is very bitter)
-THC and CBD (These are very nice to soothe the pains of withdrawal.
For this first period, you are going to be amazed at how easy it is to switch something hardcore like heroin or oxycontin for Kratom Extract, Akuamma, Agmatine, and CBD Oil.
You should get 2-3 different strains of Kratom so that you can mix them up during the day. I would recommend getting a Red, and Two Greens.
The agmatine also has potentiating abilities and makes kratom, akuamma, agmatine work better.
Take small amounts of loperamide. .5mg as needed. It really does help.
Make sure that you are drinking water, and taking multi vitamins… You can even take a greens supplement.
Begin to take the sublingual vitamin B12… This will greatly boost your energy in a clean and healthy way.
5-HTP, or Kanna both boost your serotonin production or the way your brain processes serotonin in the case of Kanna.
Before bed, take melatonin and magnesium… if that doesn’t knock you out… try the Diphenhydramine.
Remember Why You’re Quitting: Remember all of the horrible times you had during your addiction. Remember all of the lost money, the mistakes you’ve made, the legal problems, the relationship problems.
The tears, the anger, the disappointment… Really remember it…. Feel those emotions again.
Be Positive: Remember… that you are taking a great step in the right direction… once you are done with this you never have to go through any of the negative drama that comes with doing drugs.
Get Motivated/Fired Up! You can do this! Take action and switch the opiates for the above stack… the withdrawal will only last a few days and then you will be in the clear for a lifetime!
STAGES OF WITHDRAWAL:
Mild: Runny nose, sneezing, mild pins and needles in the extremities.. Anxiety, sweating, diarrhea, Restless legs, difficulty sleeping…
Moderate: All the above, but includes vomiting, stomach cramps, clammy skin, more anxiety, anger, inability to sleep.
Severe: All the above, vomiting and unstoppable… cramps prevent you from walking or moving around much… subject can’t get out of bed. Loss of bowel control. Extreme pain in extremities…
With the Full spectrum plan I have described here you will not experience much of a withdrawal.
If you are a full hardcore IV heroin user, you should have a longer taper and switch from IV use to oral, or sniffing. (NOT MEDICAL ADVICE)
The idea is to begin lowering the amounts we are putting into our bodies and lowering the amount we take per day… then eventually switching to kratom akuamma and agmatine…
We don’t want this process to be TOO painful. In fact for many, it is not painful at all.
Many folk don’t even have much withdrawal using this method.
Step 3: Change Addictions For Positive Ones.
When I quit heroin… one of the best things I did was take up Boxing. It gave me a great series of things… I was working out… losing weight… improving my cardio… and learning to fight.
I would strongly recommend that you take up something as a physical hobby so that you can learn something new and feel like you are moving forward in your life…
A three pronged attack which could be a great new way to replace the void that opiates will leave in your life would be this…
Prong 1: New Physical Activity: Boxing
Prong 2: New Social Activity: Public Speaking (Toastmasters)
Prong 3: New Support Group: Narcotics Anonymous.
This will fill your life up with new friends and activities… this will build your self esteem and raise your standards… You’ll become a better person almost immediately.
Step 4: Join A Support Group and Stay Clean Permanently
Narcotics Anonymous is the best social support group for drug addicts ever conceived. Alcoholics Anonymous is a great group for staying sober… but they don’t talk about drugs… sometimes they even shun you for the ‘drug talk.’
Which personally, I don’t think makes any sense because Alcohol is also a drug.
So you can find support and have help staying clean in Narcotics anonymous…
I recommend you get a sponsor… get involved and take a commitment.
When you first start you can be the greeter!
You eventually will move on to have other commitments like Chairing the meeting and bringing meetings to hospitals!
The purpose of this article is to help ease the fear of going through withdrawal.
If you follow the suggestions in this guide… you will have a VERY mild withdrawal from opiates.
I went cold turkey from 20 bags of heroin per day… that was a very difficult withdrawal…
With this… I am certain that you will be able to offset most of the side effects of the withdrawal… and transition into a far healthier… legal… and safer way of living!
You can do this!
Many, many drug addicts have successfully gotten off opiates and now live an opiate free life.
Life without opiates is amazing!
When you are clean you have choices!
