Tip 1: Wear A Watch and Check It Often: Biggest mistake most people make in terms of timeliness is that they traded their watches for smartphones. So foolish. Smartphones are really Distractionphones and digital-leashes. You aren’t going to simply check the time and admire the timepiece. You are going to forget to check the time and get sucked into a stupid 20 minute debate with some idiot you barely know on Facebook on some public thread that has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU AND YOUR GOALS.
Tip 2: MOST CONVERSATIONS/MEETINGS ARE WASTES OF TIME: Force people to get to their point in 2 minutes or less. The thing that the person wants from you can usually be summarized in less than 10 seconds. There is no need to spend 1 hour on the phone with clients. Not to mention how much it distracts you.
Tip 3: Put Down The Phone: Do not respond to social media, text messages, 24/7. Check them three or four times per day.
Tip 4: Read One Book/Chapter/Page At A Time: Most people I meet are constantly in 3-4 sources of information at once. Cut down the amount of information you consume at any one time and you will enjoy your life a lot more.
